Juventus reject Inter approach for Isla

The 25-year-old Chile international has had an injury plagued first season with the Old Lady, but the club have said he is very much part of their plans for this year
Juventus have rejected an approach from Inter for midfielder Mauricio Isla, adding that he is not for sale this summer.

The 25-year-old had a tough first season with the Serie A champions, after a knee injury restricted him to just 11 appearances.

Despite this, however, Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta says the former Udinese man will not leave the club.

"Mauricio has been the subject of interest from Inter," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We sat around a table to look at the proposal from both a financial and technical point of view.
"At this time, in agreement with the coach, we won't be putting the player on the market. Isla remains our player in every way."
Juventus have had a busy summer adding Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente to their attack and Angelo Ogbonna to their defence.
And Marotta says the Bianconeri have to be careful financially, but they hope to improve further as a team in the coming season.
"We have to pay attention to our finances," he added.
"Our model is this: we want to remain the top team in Italy and be highly competitive in Europe even if it is increasingly hard to compete in the international transfer market these days.
