Arsenal are currently negotiating with Ligue 1 side Lyon in an attempt to sign French striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to reports from Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports reporter issued an update on his twitter confirming that the two clubs are currently in discussions, with Arsenal pushing hard to seal a deal for the forward.
Arsene Wenger is desperate to sign a new striker with somewhat of an injury crisis up-top with Olivier Giroud not set to return until after the season starts, Alexis Sanchez still not up to full fitness following the Copa America, and Danny Welbeck sidelined until January.

The Gunners had been tracing a number of targets, but were rejected by Leicester striker Jamie Vardy and missed out on Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus and Ben Yedder who joined Sevilla.
Wenger had also been linked with multiple other striking options such as AC Milan's Carlos Bacca, Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata and Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku.
Both Arsenal and Lyon are negotiating a price after the North London side had a £29.3m bid rejected earlier this month, which was lower than Premier League rivals West Ham's offer.
The talks come as a slight shock after Lyon's president Jean Michael Aulas had publicly stated that their star asset is not for sale, although some speculated it just to be negotiating tactic to obtain their £35m asking price, as reported by the Telegraph.
Lacazette scored 23 times for his club last season in both the Ligue 1 and the Champions League, narrowly missing out on a place with France at the European Championships.
Arsene Wenger is also keen to bring in a new centre-back after Gabriel was injured Sunday night who now faces time out with Laurent Koscienly and Per Mertesacker, leaving them with only Callum Chambers and new boy Rob Holding as their only fit central defenders.
