Juventus are ready to turn their full attention to signing Chelsea target Blaise Matuidi from Paris Saint-Germain following Paul Pogba's world record move to Manchester United.
As talkSPORT told you last week, reports in France had suggested that Juve were lining up Matuidi as a possible contingency plan should Pogba complete his return to Old Trafford.
And now the £89million deal is done, Juve need a replacement quickly and L'Equipe say Matuidi is the man to fill the void.
The tough-tackling midfielder played alongside Pogba in midfield for the French national team and the Turin club believe he is the best available replacement.
And, although PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi insists he is not for sale, that will not stop Juve splashing the cash in a bid to lure him to Serie A.
That could come as bad news for Chelsea, who have also been heavily linked with a move for the 29-year-old.
