La Flame goes dark in the NSFW video for his Young Thug and Quavo-assisted single “Pick Up the Phone.”
Travis
Scott’s S&M-inspired visual kicks off with a warning: “The
following content includes scenes containing explicit and graphic
material. Viewer discretion is advised.” And the clip lives up to that
disclaimer.
Throughout
the brooding five minutes, Travis, Thugger, and Quavo are surrounded by
nude and/or scantily-clad women. Scott also appears as some sort of
zombie character at one point, with his eyes rolled all the way back.
The
Houston rapper premiered “Pick Up the Phone” and “90210” at his .wav
party in Los Angeles last night, celebrating the launch of his new .wav
radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1.
Yesterday, on the first episode, Scott debuted a slew of new music, including “The Hooch,”Usher’s “No Limit (Remix),” and Alicia Keys’ “In Common (Remix),” which also features Kanye West.
Expect more videos to come from Scott’s “visual album” Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, which has a release date of Aug. 26. He plans on filming as many videos as he can for it.
