Manchester City are close to completing the signing of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona.
Pep Guardiola has been on the lookout for a new goalkeeper all summer to replace Joe Hart, who is set to leave the Etihad before the window closes
Hart, 29, has been at City for a decade but now looks surplus to requirements and will consider his future away from the club upon the Chilean stopper's arrival.
A fee of around £22m has already been agreed with the Barcelona for Bravo after the 33-year-old told the club he wanted to be part of the Guardiola revolution.
City are confident the deal for the 106-cap Chile international will be wrapped up before the window closes and will be registerered in time to play in the Champions League group stages
Bravo has featured heavily for Barca in La Liga during his two seasons at the Nou Camp with German 'keeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen in goal for the Champions League and domestic cup games.
There has been a fear among the Nou Camp hierarchy they could lose Ter Stegen due to his lack of La Liga action since joining from Borussia Moenchengladbach two years ago.
Luis Enrique is now set to make Ter Stegen his new number one so getting a significant fee for Bravo will be seen as good business all round
