Stoke are targeting a loan move forLiverpool centre-back Mamadou Sakho.
Earlier this week it emerged that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to sanction a temporary move for the France international in order for him to get regular playing time, report the Liverpool Echo .
Potters boss Mark Hughes has moved to register his interest in the defender, who is on the comeback trail following a troubled four months.
Sakho was accused by UEFA of failing a drugs test in April which caused him to miss the end of last season, including the Europa League final defeat to Sevilla and Euro 2016 on his home soil.
