These incredible images show an African tribeswoman in her striking traditional dress popping into the supermarket for some essentials.

She browsed the isles and checked out the washing powder deals while still wearing her goat skin attire and mud for sunscreen.

The woman, from the Himba tribe in Opuwo, Namibia, was pictured by Swedish wildlife and documentary photographer Bjorn Persson.

Himba tribespeople lead a very traditional lifestyle, with Persson's photos showing the amazing effects of globalisation.
